About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to support mission requirements for a structured approach to further develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem. This role is critical to enhancing interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.
The primary objective of this program is to bridge operational gaps between the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), interagency partners, and non-traditional international allies. You will enable real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities. In this position, you will work within a remote environment to design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud environments across AWS and Azure, ensuring strict compliance with DoD cloud security frameworks. Your work will directly impact the ability of our partners to share information securely and efficiently while optimizing resource allocation across IL2, IL4, and IL5 environments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, deploy, and maintain secure cloud environments in AWS and Azure
- check_circleConfigure identity and access management solutions and enforce role-based access controls
- check_circleOptimize cloud networking configurations including VPC peering and cross-domain connectivity
- check_circleDevelop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation
- check_circleProvision and maintain IL2, IL4, and IL5 GovCloud infrastructure
- check_circleTrack and report Kubernetes and workload-specific resource usage using observability tools
- check_circleCoordinate with other contractors to reconcile usage and provide monthly cost reports

- check_circleAdvise the Government on workload placement and optimization strategies across security levels
- check_circleImplement cloud-native services for monitoring, cost tracking, and compliance automation
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR 5 years equivalent experience
- verifiedExperience with AWS and Azure GovCloud
- verifiedProficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
- verifiedExperience with Authority to Operate (ATO) and DoD RMF/NIST 800-53 Rev. 5
- verifiedExperience with FedRAMP and DoD IL-4/IL-5 security mandates
