About the Role
As a Clinical Support Coordinator for our Medical-Surgical unit, you will serve as a pivotal link between clinical and administrative functions. In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day support for the unit, assisting Registered Nurses with patient admissions, discharges, order entry, and documentation. Your work will directly impact efficient care delivery by monitoring patient flow, scheduling tests, and maintaining accurate records.
You will act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and families, ensuring excellent communication and seamless coordination. By supporting quality and safety initiatives, you will help uphold our commitment to service excellence and a compassionate environment for both patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCoordinate day-to-day clinical and administrative support for the Med Surg unit
- check_circleAssist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges ensuring accurate documentation
- check_circleEnter and track physician orders and coordinate diagnostics and procedures
- check_circleMonitor patient flow and bed management to support timely care delivery
- check_circleMaintain and update patient records in the electronic health record system
- check_circleServe as a liaison between nursing, physicians, ancillary departments, and families
- check_circleTrack and report key unit metrics and escalate issues as needed
- check_circleSupport nurses and providers with communication, scheduling, and follow-up tasks
- check_circleAssist with quality, safety, and compliance initiatives on the unit
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license preferred
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
- verifiedFamiliarity with a major EHR system (e.g., Epic or Cerner) preferred
- verifiedPrevious Med Surg or acute care hospital experience strongly preferred
Nice to Have
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Familiarity with a major EHR system (e.g., Epic or Cerner). Previous Med Surg or acute care hospital experience.
