The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC – James) is the only cancer program in the United States that features a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center. Aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center and a freestanding cancer hospital on the campus of one of the nation's largest public universities, our mission is to advance research and scholarship while delivering exceptional patient care.
The Clinical Trials Office (CTO) operates within this prestigious environment, managing the conduct of clinical trials for disease-specific research teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of research projects that drive innovation in cancer treatment.
As a Clinical Research Manager, you will serve as a key leader within the CCC Clinical Trials Office, managing, developing, and overseeing the conduct of clinical trials for a specific cancer disease team. Reporting to the Clinical Trials Director, you will act as the operational backbone for your assigned disease site, collaborating closely with faculty, administration, research staff, and shared resources across James Cancer Hospital.
Your day will involve directing team workflow and productivity to meet rigorous research goals, while simultaneously managing the daily administrative and operational activities of the team. You will play a critical role in the patient journey, supervising the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of patients into research protocols, and overseeing their education and follow-up care according to study protocols. Additionally, you will foster a culture of quality and compliance by conducting quality assurance reviews and collaborating with investigators to develop and implement research protocols.
