The Clinical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist serves as a vital member of the laboratory team at Berkshire Medical Center, directly supporting the hospital's mission to provide high-quality patient care. This role is dedicated to performing clinical laboratory examinations that provide critical information for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease. The position requires a blend of technical proficiency, professional consultation, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality control and safety.
In this 100% onsite role, you will operate scientific instruments, evaluate specimens taken from the human body, and troubleshoot day-to-day technical problems. The position offers exposure to various laboratory specialties, including immunohematology, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and serology, with the potential for phlebotomy duties. You will also play an educational role by instructing and evaluating medical technology students during their rotations, ensuring the next generation of professionals is well-prepared.
