We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide essential mental health services within a correctional facility setting. This role is critical for maintaining the well-being of the inmate population while ensuring strict compliance with correctional healthcare standards and California regulations.
In this position, you will conduct psychological assessments, crisis interventions, and treatment planning. Your day-to-day work involves performing mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse histories, as well as conducting Mental Status Examinations (MSE) and suicide risk assessments. You will provide crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group psychotherapy, engaging with inmates through face-to-face and cell-front clinical interviews as required.
Beyond direct clinical care, you will develop diagnoses and treatment plans, complete detailed clinical documentation, and participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. You will also assist inmates with mental health education, SSI resources, and discharge planning, while consulting with supervisors, custody staff, and healthcare teams. Ensuring confidentiality, ethical standards, and safety protocols remains a top priority throughout your tenure.
