As a Classical Hematology Physician, you will join a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and an excellent patient experience. You will diagnose and manage classical (non-malignant) hematologic conditions, provide inpatient consultative services, and develop individualized treatment plans for longitudinal management. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in or leading clinical research initiatives to help grow the hematology program.
You will practice primarily at Intermountain Health LDS Hospital, with coverage responsibilities at Riverton, Alta View, and Layton hospitals. Your schedule will consist of clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm, four days a week, with one administrative day. You will also participate in a shared call rotation to ensure continuity of care for our patients.
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, this role places you at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. The city offers an exceptional quality of life, featuring nine world-renowned ski resorts within an hour's drive and five national parks within a day's drive. Residents enjoy a vibrant cultural scene with performances by the Utah Symphony, Ballet West, and Pioneer Theater Company, alongside major sporting events from the NBA's Jazz, NHL Utah Grizzlies, and Real Salt Lake City. The University of Utah is also located in the city.
