About the Role

We are seeking experienced CDL-A Owner Operator Drivers across the United States to join our network as independent contractors. This role is ideal for business-minded drivers seeking higher earnings potential and the flexibility of running their own operation. As a partner within our network, you will have access to a robust agent base of 300+ freight agents nationwide and consistent freight opportunities.

You will operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations, planning routes to minimize empty miles and maximize fuel efficiency. The position requires maintaining regular communication with UACL agents for load alerts and scheduling, ensuring freight is properly handled, and representing UACL with professionalism at pickup and delivery locations. You will utilize our technology tools for load management and documentation while participating in optional training programs to enhance operational efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits

Our compensation structure is designed to maximize your earnings potential. In the Van Division, you can earn 67% of linehaul if renting a van trailer from UACL, with an option to switch to 75% linehaul by moving to a weekly flat trailer rental rate. Flatbed Division drivers earn 75% of linehaul, with weekly flat rate trailer rental available if you do not have your own flatbed. Actual pay-per-mile and weekly gross earnings vary based on customers, freight lanes, and driver preference.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid to the truck. We also provide competitive insurance programs, a plates program, and online orientation for fast onboarding.

Hiring Process

To join our team, you must possess a valid CDL-A and own or lease a truck suitable for over-the-road operation. Candidates must meet all DOT and FMCSA qualifications and maintain a strong safety record. Our onboarding process features an online orientation to ensure a quick start.
