About the Role
Just got your CDL-A? Start your Over-The-Road (OTR) career strong with Bison USA. This role is designed specifically for recent graduates ready to transition from the classroom to the highway. You have the license; now it's time to gain the experience that builds a future. Bison USA supports new drivers from day one, providing paid training and guidance through your first solo load.
The Experience
As a new driver, you will join a team that values steady work and consistent growth. You can expect 2,000 to 2,500 weekly miles in late-model van and reefer trailers. The schedule typically involves being on the road for 2–3 weeks at a time, with home time of 2–3 days every 2–3 weeks.
The training program is comprehensive, ensuring you are ready for the road. It begins with 3 days of orientation and 5 days of classroom and terminal training. This is followed by 4 weeks of in-cab paid training with an experienced driver, though a fast-track option of 2 weeks is available based on evaluation. Upon successful completion, you will be assigned your own truck and head home.
