About the Role
Bison USA is dedicated to helping new drivers build a strong future in the trucking industry, starting from day one. This position is specifically designed for CDL-A recent graduates who have completed their schooling within the last 90 days and are ready to launch their Over-The-Road (OTR) careers. The role offers a clear path from paid training to your first solo load, ensuring you have support every mile of the way.
As a new driver with Bison, you will operate late-model van and reefer trailers on steady OTR routes, typically covering 2,000 to 2,500 miles per week. The position offers a work-life balance with home time of 2–3 days every 2–3 weeks. You will be assigned your own truck following the completion of paid training, allowing you to transition quickly into independent driving.
Training and Development
We believe in investing in our drivers' success. The onboarding process includes 3 days of orientation followed by 5 days of classroom and terminal training. You will then spend 4 weeks in-cab on paid training with an experienced mentor driver. A fast-track option is available for qualified candidates, reducing in-cab training to 2 weeks based on evaluation. Upon completion, you will receive your own truck and head out on the road.
