Fischer Land Surveying & Engineering has been serving Northeast North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota for over 28 years. As a small, close-knit firm, we strive to provide the most accurate and quality services to our clients. Our team has designed open channel drains and helped create 30 assessment drains in northeastern ND, while also handling site design and layout for convenience stores, agricultural facilities, and commercial buildings.
As a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT), you will join a team where every employee plays an important role. The primary advantage of working for a small firm is the opportunity to take a project from conception to construction. You will manage small to mid-size projects, prepare technical engineering reports and plans, and assist in field operations including construction inspection and surveying.
This role offers a unique path to becoming dual-licensed as a Professional Engineer and a Professional Land Surveyor. You will work both indoors and outdoors, gathering field survey data, overseeing construction activities, and consulting with clients and contractors. The position requires physical capability for manual field labor tasks, such as clearing vegetation and staking, as well as reliable travel to project sites.
