Blackbird Health is a clinician-founded, owned, and operated organization dedicated to building the best possible team to provide the best care for children. We deliver virtual and in-person mental health services across Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey, with plans to expand into new markets in 2026.
At Blackbird, we take a whole-child approach, examining how the brain, body, and behavior interact to address the root causes of challenges rather than just the symptoms. Every role matters here, and you will join a collaborative, supportive, and innovative team shaping the future of pediatric mental health care. If you are passionate about helping children and families while growing your career, Blackbird is the place to make an impact.
Our mission is to raise the standard of pediatric mental health care through accurate understanding and precise treatment that reflect how each child's brain, body, and behavior work together. As one family shared: "It's so rare to find comprehensive care like this---from testing to therapy to med management (and more)--all in one place. In addition, the school advocacy support we receive is unprecedented. We no longer feel like we are managing things alone."
We are looking for an Adolescent Addiction Therapist to join our team at our Pittsburgh, PA clinic location. This is a hybrid role where you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and be empowered to make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families. You will provide support to patients suffering from video game and other addictions.
In this role, you will provide individual evidence-based therapy to adolescents and young adults (ages 10-26), building strong therapeutic relationships through consistent, high-quality care. You will develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress and invest in patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport. You will also participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills, collaborate with other specialty providers, and involve family members or outside specialists when appropriate.
We offer a predictable base salary with the ability to earn more by taking on additional clients. The role features a hybrid model with flexible scheduling that fits your life, including availability after 4pm Monday through Friday and 8am-7pm on weekends. You will have immediate patient referrals with a guaranteed caseload, allowing you to start seeing patients right away. Full administrative support is provided, including credentialing, billing, insurance, and EMR, so you can focus on clinical care. Additionally, you will receive paid weekly clinical consultation for ongoing support and skill development, along with professional liability insurance and career growth opportunities.
To apply, please submit your application through our standard channels. Please note that our patient support team is busy helping children and families; do not call or email them regarding your application, as this helps us process your application more efficiently.
