Based at the Residence Inn Ontario, the Chief Engineer serves as the operational leader for the engineering division. This role is critical to maintaining the property's physical integrity and ensuring a seamless guest experience. In the absence of the Director, the Chief Engineer assumes the administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering.
You will lead a team dedicated to safety, compliance, and efficiency. Your day involves supervising and training staff on customer service, standard operating procedures, and loss prevention while managing the department's annual budget and financial forecasts. A significant portion of your time will be spent ensuring the hotel meets all local, state, and federal laws, including ADA compliance, and that all emergency and life safety systems are rigorously inspected and certified. You will also drive energy conservation initiatives and oversee the prompt handling of room maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
