About the Role
Join MediLodge as a Charge Nurse to lead a resident-centered care team within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and oversee nursing care on your unit, ensuring a compassionate, team-focused environment that promotes dignity and respect for both residents and coworkers.
You will serve as a bridge between clinical needs and holistic care goals, collaborating closely with physicians, therapists, and families to support post-acute recovery and long-term care objectives. Your day-to-day impact involves mentoring staff, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring strict adherence to clinical and safety standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and patient advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and coordinate nursing care delivery on the assigned unit and shift
- check_circleSupervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and CNAs/LPNs
- check_circlePerform comprehensive resident assessments and monitor condition changes
- check_circleDevelop, implement, and update individualized care plans
- check_circleAdminister medications and treatments per provider orders and policies
- check_circleEnsure compliance with clinical, infection control, and safety standards
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
- check_circleDocument care, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely
- check_circleSupport orientation, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unrestricted RN license in the state of Michigan
- verifiedBLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- verifiedACLS preferred for higher‑acuity units
- verifiedPrior charge nurse or supervisory experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care preferred
- verifiedIV certification per state guidelines preferred
Nice to Have
ACLS certification for higher-acuity units. Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience in skilled nursing or long-term care. IV certification per state guidelines.
