It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing! We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. MCHAP fulfills its mission and Christian ministry by serving company employees and their immediate families through the gifts and talents of its frontline staff.
As a Part-Time Chaplain in Charlotte, NC, you will serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose. You will interact with companies, their employees, and the community in a manner that exhibits character through personal and spiritual disciplines. This role requires a bilingual Spanish speaker.
Your day will involve making regular visits to company worksites to build relationships of trust and friendship motivated by Christian faith. You will provide confidential pastoral discussions for employees and their families regarding life issues such as family matters, serious illness, grief, and financial stress. You may also assist in planning funerals, make jail visits, and support families during notifications of death or serious injuries. Additionally, you will participate in new employee orientations to explain the Employee Care Service and represent the ministry to clients during traumatic events.
Please Note: While assigned hours are generally consistent from week to week, there are no guaranteed minimal hours. Positional needs will vary depending on Chaplain availability and Client requirements. This is a remote position in the field, with work environments dependent on the client's site, ranging from manufacturing plants and hospitals to office buildings and funeral homes.
Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check to be considered for employment.
MCHAP seeks individuals who possess the ability to work as members of an interdisciplinary group in an interfaith setting. We value the ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values while maintaining a high regard for the dignity and worth of all clients and employees.
