About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of students within a school setting in Newport, NH. As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), you will be the bridge between therapeutic goals and daily classroom success. Your work will focus on helping students achieve a "ready-to-learn" state by implementing sensory diets, facilitating movement breaks, and targeting foundational skills like handwriting and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
You will work directly with the supervising OTR/L to adjust treatment plans and collaborate closely with classroom teachers to suggest environmental modifications, such as adaptive seating or slant boards. This role requires a "student-first" heart and the flexibility to pivot when lessons don't go as planned, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
