We are seeking a dedicated Medication Assistant (CMA) to join our nursing team at the Good Samaritan Society – Canistota Center. This part-time role focuses on providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to our seniors under the supervision of a charge nurse.
You will be the face of compassionate care, assisting residents with physical and psychological needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and transferring. A key part of your day involves administering prescribed medications within your scope of practice, documenting care outcomes, and communicating any changes in resident condition to the nursing team. Beyond clinical duties, you will help create a positive dining experience, assist with wellness and recreational programs, and ensure living areas remain clean and operational.
This position is based at our 55-bed facility in Canistota, South Dakota, conveniently located about 30 minutes from Sioux Falls. The facility provides both rehabilitation and senior living services.
