Melissa High School is seeking a Certified History Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this position, you will serve as a guide for students as they explore the complexities of world history, from early civilizations to modern eras. Your mission extends beyond the transmission of facts; you will foster a deep understanding and appreciation of diverse world cultures, languages, racial and ethnic groups, religious perspectives, and political systems.
You will be responsible for developing a curriculum that not only covers historical periods but also integrates related disciplines such as political science, economics, sociology, geography, and anthropology. The role emphasizes critical thinking, encouraging students to analyze the world around them, evaluate current issues through a historical lens, and become constructive participants in a free society.
