Martinsville High School offers summer school opportunities for students enrolled in ninth through twelfth grades during the 2025-2026 academic year. All sessions will be held on the Martinsville High School campus.
The summer program includes two primary tracks designed to support student success:
Project Graduation Summer Academy This track is designed for students who have passed a course but did not pass the corresponding SOL test. Participants are given the opportunity to review course materials and retake the SOL test at no cost.
Summer School for Verified Credit and Credit Recovery Students can enroll in courses to earn verified credit or recover credits for subjects including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, World History & Geography (to 1500 A.D.), World History & Geography (1500 A.D. to Present), VA & US History, and English 11 Reading.
Teacher Planning and Training Teachers will participate in planning, training, and setup from May 26-29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Student Sessions Classes run Monday through Thursday from June 1-25. The daily schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The SOL testing window for verified credit opens on June 8 and runs through June 25.
