This position serves as the primary architect for navigating the complex landscape of CMS certification within the Medicaid sector. You will lead the full certification lifecycle, transforming rigorous federal standards into actionable operational realities. The role exists to ensure that state Medicaid agencies maintain seamless compliance and operational readiness while modernizing their information systems.
In this capacity, you will act as the critical liaison between the state Medicaid agency, CMS, and internal stakeholders. Your day-to-day involves orchestrating certification progress reports, managing executive-level updates, and overseeing implementation phases to guarantee alignment with project plans. You will drive the development of comprehensive certification readiness plans and metrics that align with current CMS guidance, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to IT certification standards.
Beyond the certification specifics, you will apply business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and modernize business processes. This includes developing organization-wide information models for integrated software and database management systems, while adhering to guiding principles focused on cost savings and open system architecture.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a structured evaluation designed to assess both technical expertise in CMS certification and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional dependencies. The process typically includes an initial screening to verify experience with Medicaid and government healthcare systems, followed by a deeper dive into specific certification scenarios and stakeholder management strategies.
This is a fully remote position requiring candidates to permanently reside in the Continental US. To ensure seamless collaboration and data security, a reliable internet connection with a speed of 20mbps or higher is mandatory, utilizing either Wi-Fi or a Category 5/6 ethernet connection.
