This position serves as the primary architect and liaison for the full CMS certification lifecycle, guiding complex healthcare IT initiatives from initial planning through final approval. The role exists to ensure that state Medicaid agencies and their integrated software systems meet rigorous federal compliance standards while driving business process modernization.
You will act as the critical bridge between the organization, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and state Medicaid leadership. Your day-to-day involves orchestrating certification readiness plans, managing operational metrics, and facilitating executive-level progress reports. Beyond technical compliance, you will lead the re-engineering of business methodologies and develop organization-wide information models to support shared software and data warehouse architectures.
Candidates selected for this role will navigate a structured interview process designed to assess both technical expertise in CMS certification and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional dependencies. The process includes an initial screening, followed by deep-dive discussions on past certification efforts and scenario-based problem solving regarding Medicaid Enterprise Systems.
To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your specific experience with CMS IT certification standards and government healthcare programs. For candidates requiring assistance during any phase of the employment process due to a disability or medical condition, please contact People Operations at applicantaccom@maximus.com.
