About McCallum Powder
McCallum Powder is an explosives supplier based in Chehalis, WA, serving the industry since 2016. We support the manufacturing, storage, and transportation of explosives products for all McCallum Rock Drilling blasting operations. As we expand our reach, we are seeking a dedicated full-time CDL Powder Truck Driver to service the Oregon territory.
About the Role
This position is critical to our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of ANFO, emulsion, and other explosive products from magazine locations to job sites. You will be responsible for the complete logistics chain, including loading and unloading trucks and maintaining accurate inventory of all explosive materials.
The role demands a high level of focus and reliability. You will operate both box trucks and bulk tanker trucks, navigating various job sites while adhering to strict safety protocols. This is a demanding position requiring early mornings, long days, and the flexibility to work weekends and travel out of town. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, maintains a positive attitude under stress, and possesses the mechanical aptitude to keep operations running smoothly.
Hiring Process & Requirements
To join our team, candidates must possess a valid CDL license with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements and be at least 21 years of age. We require a clean driving record, a background check with no felonies (able to pass ATF checks), and a successful pre-employment drug test. Strong communication skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are essential for daily operations.
