Yankee Trails is seeking dedicated drivers to join our team in the Albany, NY area. We offer the unique opportunity to see the country while earning great pay on over-the-road motor coach tours. Whether you are looking for part-time or full-time availability, or prefer OTR assignments, we have a place for you.
As a driver with Yankee Trails, you will operate our fleet of MCI J4500, VanHool CX-35, and CX-45 motor coaches. You will be responsible for transporting passengers safely while providing a high-quality travel experience. Our equipment is equipped with modern amenities including lavatories, Hi-Definition DVD player systems, Cradlepoint WiFi, and advanced safety features like the SAMSARA ELD System with onboard cameras and ProVision Collision Avoidance.
This role offers flexible scheduling available 7 days a week. Drivers are provided with a "Starter Kit" uniform and hotel accommodations for overnight stays. You will also receive paid training and paid pre-trip through post-trip time, ensuring you are compensated for your hourly wage even during layover periods.
We offer a competitive pay structure designed to reward your time and dedication. Drivers earn up to $30/hour on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and $25/hour Monday through Thursday. Alternatively, drivers may be paid $0.65/mile, whichever pays more based on their specific assignment. Flat rates vary depending on the type of assignment, contract, vendor, and destination.
Full-time drivers enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including company-paid 50% medical and dental coverage, a 401K plan with a 4% match, PTO, and holidays. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible for performance-based bonuses paid quarterly, with the option to spend 100% of these payouts through our Travel Agency. We also offer discounted travel rates and a $300 driver referral bonus.

In 1957, Yankee Trails opened its doors with the goal of providing safe, affordable motorcoach transportation to patrons in and around Upstate New York. Shuttle service between Albany and Vermont put the company on the map and continues to operate today [ see our Bennington, VT Line Run schedule ]. Motorcoach charter services made up a large part of the company’s business, and still do today. During the late 1980’s, Yankee Trails introduced individual tour packages to destinations up and down the east coast as well as the Midwest and occasionally parts of Western United States. Over the years, the company has seen considerable growth, and is currently one of the largest tour and charter motor carriers in the Northeast. In 1999, Yankee Trails expanded their services and changed their name to Yankee Trails World Travel. With the addition of a full service travel agency, the company now provides an endless array of travel opportunities, including air fare and cruise vacations. In August 2014, Yankee Trails World Travel announced its arrival to residents of The Villages, Florida. Beginning November of this year, our Cruise Express shuttle service was offered FREE OF CHARGE to this vibrant community in Central Florida (when cruise reservations were made with our agency). Roundtrip, direct transportation was provided from The Villages, Florida to the cruise ports in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 2015 the company announced that it would be servicing the port in Tampa Bay, Florida as well!
