This position is responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. The primary goal is to provide an effective, incident-free service while maintaining excellent rapport with customers. The role involves operating a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering strictly to all safety protocols.
Day-to-day activities include performing and logging daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift, operating forklifts or overhead cranes, and cleaning containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery. The driver utilizes a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation, coordinates rental paperwork and payments with customers, and communicates with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any customer questions or issues. Additional responsibilities may include performing field repairs on containers and lifts, providing backup for storage center functions, and maintaining the cleanliness of the truck cab.
