As a Driver Trainee, you will learn the essential functions of the Driver job, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. This position is designed to give you exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of the developmental process of becoming a McLane Driver.
You will ride and train with a Driver Trainer to gain knowledge of commercial driving regulations and observe the skills required for starting engines, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering vehicles on the road and customer premises. Your day will involve ensuring product is secure for undamaged transport, maintaining driver logs according to DOT regulations, and providing customer service through on-time delivery and handling returns.
