About the Role
Launch your driving career as a CDL A Truck Driver Trainee with our team. This role is designed for individuals ready to transition into a stable, full-time career while earning their CDL A license. You will train alongside experienced professional drivers on local and regional routes, mastering the safe operation of late-model equipment, accurate loading and unloading techniques, and strict FMCSA/DOT compliance.
As a trainee, your day will involve a blend of classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel practice. You will assist with freight securement, perform required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and utilize electronic logs and handheld systems to track routes. Beyond the mechanics of driving, you will learn to provide professional, courteous service at customer locations while maintaining clean driving and safety records. The goal is to progress from a trainee to a professional driver who gets home safely and more often.

Hiring Process
To apply, candidates must possess a CDL A learner's permit or the ability to obtain one prior to starting. Applicants must also be eligible to obtain a full CDL A license, maintain a clean driving record meeting McLane and DOT standards, and pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
