About the Role
We are seeking a Company Driver to operate our fleet out of our yard in Obetz, OH, with plans to expand to a future terminal in the same location. This position offers the opportunity to service 47 states, excluding California, with a seasonal preference to avoid the Northwest during winter months. The role is built on customer needs rather than dedicated routes, though we actively work to build dedicated opportunities through our sister logistics company.
Equipment and Operations
Drivers operate 2020 newer sleeper trucks that are company-owned and well-maintained. We utilize drop-hook and no-touch freight to streamline operations. As a company driver, you are provided with a truck at no cost. If you have secure parking available, you may take the equipment home. Dispatch is force-based but remains flexible to accommodate necessary home time and schedule preferences for drivers who are super organized and communicative.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer full-time W-2 benefits including a 401(k) with company contribution, medical coverage through Cigna, and vision/dental through Principal. Drivers receive paid time off and holidays off. Additional compensation includes a $25 per hour detention rate after two hours at a facility, low mileage rates for fair compensation, and $200 per day for any breakdown or maintenance on the road. There is a maximum weekly cap of $1,000. If working on an observed holiday, drivers receive an additional $50 on top of regular revenue. We also welcome pet passengers.
Hiring Requirements
To qualify, candidates must hold a valid CDL A license with at least three years of experience. Drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 75 (due to insurance regulations). A clean Motor Vehicle Record is required, specifically less than one moving violation in the last two years and no Drug Testing (DT) failures or Controlled Substance (CH) violations in the last 15 years.
