As a Pickup and Delivery Driver, you will serve as a critical link in our logistics network, responsible for the efficient movement of cargo to and from various destinations near our consolidation and distribution centers. This role goes beyond simple transportation; it requires the independent judgment to build and tear down trailers effectively while adhering to all weight distribution laws. You will utilize specialized techniques and technology to load and unload cargo, operating forklifts as needed to ensure safety and efficiency.
Your day will involve a variety of essential tasks, including check-ins, tractor and trailer inspections, setup procedures, and the precise execution of pickup and delivery routes. You will also manage routine paperwork and properly log loading sheets to maintain accurate records. While specific duties and schedules may vary depending on the terminal location, your ability to work flexible hours—including days, nights, and weekends—is essential to meeting the demands of our service centers.
Candidates must possess a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements, along with no automatic restrictions. We require a minimum of 21 years of age and a stable work record with a safe driving history. Successful applicants must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet all DOT medical requirements. While one year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience is preferred, candidates with less experience may be eligible for training.
