About the Role
As a CDL A Driver Trainee, you will work alongside experienced drivers to master safe tractor-trailer operation, DOT and company safety standards, route planning, and customer delivery procedures. This role is designed to bridge the gap between your current qualifications and full CDL A Driver status. You will assist with loading and unloading, complete necessary inspections and logs, and support on-time deliveries while receiving hands-on training. The position offers strong pay potential and the opportunity to learn on local and regional delivery routes under the supervision of seasoned mentors.
Hiring Process
To join our team, candidates must meet McLane and DOT eligibility and safety requirements. This includes having a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. While a CDL A permit or active enrollment in CDL school is preferred, the primary focus is on your commitment to safe vehicle operation and defensive driving.
