As a driver, you will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver groceries, foodservice products, and other cargo. Your role ensures timely and accurate delivery to predetermined customers on specific routes. You will review orders prior to delivery to ensure correct loads and error-free execution, while also coordinating with the logistics team to track deliveries and collect signatures or payments when needed.
Safety and professionalism are paramount. You will perform pre and post-trip inspections, abide by all Department of Transportation regulations, and maintain a safe driving record. The role requires following company protocols for safety, handling customer concerns with tact and efficiency, and presenting a friendly, professional demeanor to clients.
