With a sprawling network of over 80 distribution centers, you will be part of a seamless system dedicated to efficiency and excellent service.
As a driver, you will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver groceries, foodservice products, and other cargo in a safe and efficient manner. Your role involves ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to predetermined customers on specific routes. You will review orders prior to delivery to verify correct loads and ensure they are error-free, while also coordinating with the logistics team to track deliveries and collect signatures or payments when needed.
Safety and professionalism are paramount. You will perform pre and post-trip inspections, abide by all Department of Transportation regulations, and maintain a safe driving record. The role requires following company protocols for safety, handling customer concerns with tact and efficiency, and presenting a friendly, professional demeanor to clients. You will also be responsible for loading, unloading, preparing, and inspecting delivery vehicles, utilizing your knowledge of truck maintenance and safety procedures.
