In this role, you will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver groceries, foodservice products, and other cargo safely and efficiently. Your day will involve ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery to ensure correct loads, and coordinating with the logistics team to track progress. You will serve as the face of McLane, handling customer concerns with tact and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.
We value safety and reliability above all else. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and inspecting delivery vehicles, performing pre and post-trip inspections, and abiding by all Department of Transportation regulations. Success in this position requires a proven track record of safe driving, strong time management, and the ability to handle cargo effectively while utilizing GPS and routing systems.
