With a sprawling network of over 80 distribution centers, you will be part of a seamless system dedicated to efficiency and excellent service.
In this role, you will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver groceries, foodservice products, and other cargo safely and efficiently. Your day involves ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery to guarantee correct and error-free loads, and coordinating with the logistics team to track progress. You will also be responsible for loading, unloading, preparing, and inspecting delivery vehicles while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with customers.
Safety and compliance are paramount. You will perform pre and post-trip inspections, abide by all Department of Transportation regulations, and maintain a safe driving record. The role requires handling customer concerns with tact and efficiency while following company protocols for safety.
To join our team, you must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A), a clean driving record, and DOT medical certification. Experience in truck driving, strong time management, and customer service skills are essential. Familiarity with electronic equipment and software, such as GPS, AVL units, and CB radios, is required.
