We specialize in hauling an assortment of specialized freight across the United States using flatbed and stepdeck trailers. Our dispatch team works diligently to keep you in preferred lanes and ensure you have consistent home time.
About the Role
As a CDL A Flatbed Driver, you will be responsible for transporting specialized freight nationwide. Whether you are driving solo or as part of a team, you will utilize modern equipment, including ElitePass-equipped trucks and Transflo for streamlined paperwork. We offer a supportive environment that welcomes riders and pets, and provides a lease purchase option after six months for eligible drivers.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to support your financial well-being. Solo drivers earn 28% of line haul, with an average pay per mile of $0.62 CPM. Pay is distributed weekly via direct deposit.
Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance starting after just 30 days, along with long-term and short-term disability coverage. We also provide voluntary and company-paid life insurance, a 401(k) with a company match, and paid time off. New drivers can take advantage of a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid out over 90 days, plus a paid orientation week worth $500.
Hiring Process
To qualify with Baggett Transportation, candidates must meet specific criteria regarding age, driving experience, and licensing history. Applicants must be at least 25 years old and have one year of over-the-road driving experience within the last five years. You must be able to pass a DOT physical and adhere to our strict drug and alcohol policy.
Drivers must maintain a clean record, with restrictions on DUIs, DWIs, speeding violations, moving violations, and preventable accidents. Team drivers may require a Secret Clearance, necessitating U.S. citizenship and specific financial and criminal background checks. Qualified candidates will proceed through our orientation program before hitting the road.
