Just got your CDL-A? Start your Over-The-Road (OTR) career strong with Bison USA. This role is designed specifically for recent graduates who have their license but need the experience to build a future in trucking. From paid training to your first solo load, the company supports new drivers every mile of the way.
You will be part of a team that values steady OTR miles, consistent work, and career growth. The position offers the opportunity to drive late-model van and reefer trailers with 98% no-touch freight, ensuring you spend your time driving rather than handling cargo. The role is based out of Amherst, WI, with a schedule that typically keeps drivers home 2-3 days every 2-3 weeks.
The Training Experience
Bison USA provides a comprehensive path to independence. New drivers begin with 3 days of orientation followed by 5 days of classroom and terminal training. This is followed by 4 weeks of in-cab paid training with an experienced mentor. A fast-track option is available for those who demonstrate proficiency, condensing the in-cab training to 2 weeks. Upon successful completion, drivers are assigned their own truck and head home.
