About the Role
Bison USA is dedicated to helping new drivers build a strong future in the trucking industry, starting from day one. This position is specifically designed for CDL-A recent graduates who have completed their schooling within the last 90 days and are ready to launch their Over-The-Road (OTR) careers. The role offers a clear path from paid training to your first solo load, ensuring you have support every mile of the way.
As a driver with Bison, you will operate late-model van and reefer trailers on steady OTR routes, typically covering 2,000 to 2,500 miles per week. The position offers home time of 2–3 days every 2–3 weeks. You will be assigned your own truck following the completion of paid training, allowing you to drive 98% no-touch freight and focus on the road.
The Training Experience
We believe in investing in your success. New drivers begin with 3 days of orientation followed by 5 days of classroom and terminal training. This is followed by 4 weeks of in-cab paid training with an experienced mentor. A fast-track option is available for those who demonstrate proficiency, reducing the in-cab training period to 2 weeks. Upon completion, you will receive your own truck and head out on your own.
