About the Role
This internship offers hands-on exposure to the processes and operations of the Catering Convention Services Department. Through observation and guided participation, you will develop a deep understanding of how information is coordinated and communicated across departments within the property.
You will have the opportunity to attend and observe key meetings, including Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings, resume meetings, and Pre-Convention meetings. By working directly with clients and collaborating with managers, you will build essential customer service, communication, and organizational skills. The role is designed to help you develop foundational knowledge of industry terminology, menus, event diagrams, Fire Marshal regulations, and standard catering and convention practices.
By the end of the internship, you will have a comprehensive understanding of how to manage a group from start to finish and apply your academic learning in a professional hospitality environment.
