Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. In this role, you will process checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers with information and identify opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Adhering to all policies and procedures is essential to ensure store safety and minimize shrink.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure for the Front End team. This role involves positioning Cashiers effectively and providing guidance to expedite price checks, approve Point of Sale transactions, and manage markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. As the first point of escalation for customer issues, the Head Cashier plays a vital role in the supervision, coaching, and training of other Front End Associates. This includes leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster the development of the entire team. A minimum of one year of Cashier experience is preferred for this position.
