About the Role

This position is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. As a Cashier or Checker, you will be the face of the store, responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers.

Your day will involve processing transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently while handling various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and complex loyalty offers. You will serve as a resource for customers, answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store to create an environment where they feel welcome, important, and appreciated.

Beyond the register, you will play a vital role in store safety and integrity. This includes adhering to food safety regulations, reinforcing safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment. You will also manage restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
