As a Direct Support Professional, you will serve as a vital partner to individuals in residential or periodic program settings. Your mission is to empower 4 to 10 individuals by delivering personalized support that fosters independence, health, and community integration. This role is about more than completing tasks; it is about building meaningful relationships and helping individuals exercise their rights while maintaining their dignity and safety.
In this position, you will work directly with individuals to support their daily lives, from personal care and medication administration to recreational activities and community outings. You will collaborate closely with families, guardians, and case managers to ensure that every service plan is honored and that the individual's preferences guide their daily choices. Whether assisting with meal preparation, managing personal assets, or accompanying individuals to medical appointments, your presence ensures a safe, supportive, and enriching environment.
We maintain the highest standards of care and safety. All team members are expected to uphold strict confidentiality, respect the rights of those we serve, and adhere to universal precautions. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe workplace by following all safety policies, reporting hazards immediately, and participating in safety drills. In the event of an emergency, you are trained to act swiftly and effectively to protect the well-being of individuals.
To join our team, candidates must meet specific state and company requirements, including being at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license in good standing. All applicants are subject to a criminal background check, including checks against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI). Additionally, all employees hired after June 15, 2018, must complete drug testing prior to employment and are subject to random and for-cause testing.

High school diploma or equivalent. Six months of experience in human services.
Skills: Medication Administration, Universal Precautions, Computer.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; At minimum, a High School Diploma/Equivalent is required.
