About the Team

Barrow Brain and Spine is a physician-owned specialty practice dedicated to neurosurgery and advanced spine care. As a globally recognized group, we direct the Neurosurgery Residency Program at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Our team of 27 neurosurgeons and three physiatrists performs more than 8,000 surgeries annually, serving over 21,000 patients each year.

About the Role

As a Care Coordinator, you will be the vital link between our physicians and patients, performing a variety of clerical and customer service functions to ensure a seamless clinic experience. You will act as an ambassador for the practice, providing exemplary service to patients, families, and visitors while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Your day will involve managing patient flow from the moment they arrive to their departure. You will greet and room patients, take vitals, and ensure all necessary documentation, including lab slips and radiology reports, is ready for the physician. You will also handle scheduling, manage electronic medical records, and coordinate referrals for tests and consultations. In this role, you will work with limited oversight to prepare and run the daily clinic, ensuring continuity of care and a superior patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleRegister new patients in the electronic medical record with demographic and insurance information
  • check_circleEnsure all initial consultations, lab slips, and radiology reports are available to physicians prior to patient arrival

  • check_circleEnter orders, E-Prescribe information, and create clinical visit summaries
