About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to older adults in their own homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with people and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Whether you are looking for flexible part-time work or a way to give back to your community, this position offers the opportunity to build relationships and support members with everyday tasks.
What You Will Do
Your primary focus will be on companionship and light assistance. You might engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies, play board games, or sports, play board games, or go for walks. Beyond social interaction, you may assist with practical tasks such as picking up groceries or medications, providing transportation to appointments like the doctor's office or bank, and helping with laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization. You may also help members with technology, such as downloading apps, using video calls, or sending emails. Additionally, you might assist with pet care, such as walking or filling food and water bowls.
