About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to older adults in their own homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with people and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives. You will serve as a friendly face and reliable support system, helping members maintain their independence and enjoy their day-to-day activities.
What You Will Do
Your primary focus will be on companionship and light assistance. You might pick up groceries or medications, give members a lift to the doctor's office or from appointments, or assist with pet care tasks like walking or feeding. You may also help members navigate technology, such as downloading apps, setting up video calls, or sending emails.
Beyond practical tasks, you will engage in social activities that bring joy and connection. This includes having conversations, watching movies, playing board games, or going for walks. You may also assist with light household tasks such as laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization.
