About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to members in their homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. You will serve as a friendly face, offering support with daily tasks and engaging in activities that bring joy and comfort to our members.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day interactions will focus on enhancing the quality of life for your assigned members. This includes providing transportation to medical appointments, banks, or other essential locations. You will assist with light household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and organizing living spaces. Additionally, you will help members stay connected by assisting with technology, such as setting up video calls or navigating apps.
Beyond practical assistance, a significant part of the role is companionship. You will engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies together, play board games, or cards, and go for walks. You may also assist with pet care, such as walking dogs or filling food and water bowls. The goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable environment where members feel valued and cared for.
