Job Description
About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you serve as a trusted partner to our members, helping them maintain independence and enjoy their daily lives. This role is designed for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. You will act as a friendly companion and practical helper, providing support that ranges from light household tasks to social engagement and transportation assistance.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day activities will vary based on the unique needs and preferences of each member. You might assist with errands such as picking up groceries or medications, or provide transportation to medical appointments, the bank, or other essential locations, or social outings. Beyond logistics, you will help members stay connected by assisting with technology, such as downloading apps, setting up video calls, or sending emails.
You will also support members with light household tasks, including laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization. A significant part of the role involves companionship: engaging in meaningful conversations, watching movies, playing board games, or going for walks. Additionally, you may assist members with their pets, such as walking them or filling food and water bowls.

We offer a flexible scheduling model that allows you to balance work with your personal life. As a Papa Pal, you have the opportunity to earn competitive compensation, with an average hourly rate of $22, supported by a base rate of $17 per hour and bonus incentives.
