About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to older adults in their homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with people and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives. You will serve as a friendly face, helping members stay active, engaged, and independent.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day interactions will focus on enhancing the quality of life for our members. You might assist with light household tasks, such as laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization. You may also help members with errands, including picking up groceries or medications, and providing transportation to appointments like the doctor's office or the bank.
Beyond practical assistance, you will engage in social activities that bring joy and connection. This could involve having great conversations, watching movies, playing board games, or going for walks. You may also help members with technology support, such as teaching members how to use video calls, download and access apps, or send emails. Additionally, you might assist with pet care, such as walking pets or filling food and water bowls.
