About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to older adults in their own homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with people and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. You will serve as a friendly face, offering support with daily tasks and engaging in activities that bring joy and ease to the member's life.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day interactions will focus on enhancing the quality of life for your assigned member. This includes running errands such as picking up groceries or medications, providing transportation to medical appointments or the bank, and assisting with pet care. You will also help members navigate technology, such as setting up apps or teaching them how to use video calls.
Beyond practical assistance, a significant part of the role is companionship. You will engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies, play board games, or sports, play games, and go for walks. You may also assist with light household tasks like laundry, meal preparation, and organization. The goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable environment that allows members to maintain their independence and stay connected.
