About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to older adults in their own homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. Whether you are looking for flexible part-time work or a career in caregiving, this position offers the opportunity to build genuine relationships while helping members maintain their independence and quality of life.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day interactions will focus on enhancing the member's daily routine through practical support and engaging companionship. You might assist with light household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light organization, or help members stay connected by teaching them how to use technology like video calling apps and sending emails.
Beyond practical help, you will serve as a trusted companion. This could involve running errands like picking up groceries or medications, providing transportation to medical appointments or the bank, or simply spending time together. Activities may include going for walks, playing board games, watching movies, or engaging in meaningful conversation. You may also assist with pet care, such as walking a dog or filling food and water bowls.
