About the Role

As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to members in their homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. No prior healthcare experience is required, required, making this an accessible opportunity for those looking to enter the caregiving field or simply contribute to their community.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of practical assistance and social engagement. You might help a member pick up groceries or medications, or provide a ride to the doctor's office, the bank, or other appointments. Beyond errands, you will assist with light household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and organization. You may also help members with technology, such as setting up apps or teaching them how to use video calls.

A significant part of the role is companionship. You will engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies, play board games, or sports, play board games, or go for walks. You might also assist with pet care, such as walking a dog or filling a food bowl. The goal is to make life a little easier and provide support that allows members to maintain their independence and enjoy their daily routines.
