About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you play a vital role in supporting members with the everyday tasks and companionship that make life easier and more enjoyable. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to help others, regardless of prior healthcare experience. You will serve as a friendly and reliable partner, assisting members with a variety of daily activities and providing meaningful social interaction.
Day in the Life
Your day might involve picking up groceries or medications for members, along with other items that make life a little easier. You may also give members a lift to the doctor's office, the bank, or anywhere else they need to go. For members with pets, you might assist in walking them or filling their water and food bowls.
Beyond logistical support, you will help members stay connected by assisting them in downloading and accessing apps, teaching them how to use video calls, or helping them send emails. You may also assist with laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and light organization.
A significant part of your role involves engaging in great conversations, watching movies, playing board games, or going for a walk. Your presence and companionship are key to enhancing the quality of life for the members you support.
