About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to seniors in their homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. You will serve as a friendly face and a reliable support system, helping members maintain their independence and enjoy their daily lives.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day interactions will focus on enhancing the quality of life for your assigned members. This involves a mix of practical assistance and social engagement. You may help with light household tasks such as laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization. You will also assist with errands, including picking up groceries or medications, and providing transportation to appointments like the doctor's office or the bank.
Beyond practical tasks, a significant part of the role is companionship. You will engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies, play board games, or TV shows together, play board games, or go for walks. You may also assist members with technology, such as helping them download apps, use video calling features, or send emails. Additionally, you might help care for a member's pet by walking them or filling their food and water bowls.
